Facilitation For Groups

We begin with a call where we get to know each other through curious conversation, discuss your needs and desires, and decide if we feel compatible enough to proceed with a contract arrangement.

I will guide you through the container, process and timeline designs for a customized facilitation session or package. 

Through interviews and surveys of invested parties, we will generate social ecosystem maps and develop strategies to accomplish your goals. 

After an agreement on the what and how of the design, I and your group will gather in a well-held conversational space with attentive, innovative and intuitive facilitation

I tell every group that “you are the captain”, and I am the navigator- I help you to decide where you want to go, and how to get there by route of your organization’s or group’s aspirations in a timely and responsive way.

What I bring to the table:

Facilitation support can be used for many reasons: one-off or ongoing decision-making, strategic planning, policy development/change, contemplative discussion about challenging topics, conference organizing, board retreats, creating collectives, coalitions, and alliances and more.

As a spiritual and magical person, who also works with people who have different ways, I can adapt to your cultural language and norms with a nimble ease.

Whether I say, “are you feeling grounded” or “what is your focus on right now”, I’m asking if you are present or distracted at the moment, because courting steady attention begets steady outcomes.

Mediation/Conflict Transformation

Mediation and/or conflict transformation are specialized types of facilitation work. The process outlined in the above group facilitation is the same for engaging in the necessary experiences of generative, relational repair. 

I use a spectrum of methodologies fluidly, whether that be for a reflect-respond clearing circle, a more formal mediation (including for legal purposes), an accountability process, or more spiritually-oriented councils.

The basis for all of these different containers and processes is rooted in transformational justice. A fundamental lens is one of how any conflict or harm doing resides in the an inter-generational, multi-variable context.

Most people and groups are conflict avoidant for legitimate reasons, including because conflict skills aren’t often taught, conflict has created trauma, and/or there is no one who might be trusted to hold an unbiased space to honestly disclose hard or painful material, and to hold solid boundaries for deep listening and change.

I tell every group, “You ideally don’t call the plumber when there is a foot of water on the floor, you call when you notice the leak isn’t repairable by you." The same is true for conflict work- take action when you can’t fix the leak, not when the flood is happening.”

De-stigmatizing conflict, rooting out the interpersonal and the organizational components, and cultivating regulation and resilience are all integral aspects of my version of effective conflict transformation.

I help twosomes and groups get unstuck, address obstacles to vision and mission, grow confidence in managing future conflict, and redirect energy into healthy social connection.

Customized Trainings

Your group chooses what, how and when you want to be together to co-learn for your unique intentions and desires. Choose one or more of the below topics, peruse the schooltemple website’s course and program selection, and/or ask for anything you don’t see already described and offered.

I will, through interviews and surveys of invested parties, create a content and timing design for the training. This customization could be anywhere from a one four-hour session, to a weekend intensive, or a once per month module. 

You could also pair a facilitation/mediation service or consultation first and design a training from there.

Personal Mentorships for Individuals or Self-Organized Cohorts

You are seeking to fulfill a specific kind of development or transformation, to complete a cycle, and/or to explore new material of your own choosing within a personalized relationship which includes care, guidance, and steadiness.

We begin with an opening session to explore what you are seeking and what I can offer. 

This ensures compatibility and shared, agreed upon expectations for both of us.

Mentorship is a consensual relationship which is negotiated. The duration of this specific relationship, the rhythm of connection, and the specific intentions will all be discussed, as well as many other questions.

Mentorships go beyond the teaching of skills and perspectives. The purpose of the relationship is for you to receive support in setting intentions and goals, develop a plan to meet them, and to be offered reflection, encouragement to persevere, counseling and presence, and the confidence to move through shadow material. 

Mentorships require a minimum of eight scheduled-in-advance sessions over six months.

Conflict Transformation Skills Mentorship for Individuals or Self-Organized Cohorts

You are ready to deepen your skills, perspectives, and practice in the vocation of conflict work for service, income and all in between. You are inviting attentive guidance in growing your confidence to step more fully into leadership/visibility in your role.

We begin with an opening session to explore what you are seeking and what I can offer.

Consultation

I offer consultation to design containers, processes, and timelines for other facilitation/facilitators. 

I help you to focus on your desired outcomes, coach and counsel on turning data into context, and encourage development of organizational-relational skills.

If you have already created a container and/or process and want to “polish it up” and/or want to learn or review facilitation skills to implement it, a consultation will support your best design and your steady confidence to implement it.

  • Meditation/Conflict Transformation

    I offer consultation on how to internally address active conflict/harm and design or update policy/protocols for future conflict/harm using an anticipate-contain-transform model.

    “Sometimes we can’t see the forest for the trees.”

    I offer an outside perspective through well-crafted questions about the conditions, circumstances, and patterns that contribute to once-off or ongoing relational-organizational struggles.


  • Collapse Resiliency

    I bring a systems thinking approach. In the consult we consider your preparations for the ongoing conditions of the political, economic, social, ecological and spiritual changes that are accelerating in these times.

    Sessions or packages for individuals, groups, and organizations begin with a compatibility call and after a contract agreement to proceed, we schedule to explore your intentions and goals, and use a questionnaire to begin an assessment of your current plans, skills and resources, which include material items, privilege and power, expertise or skills, and relationships.

    Understandably, considering interruptions to, or danger within our lives and for our loves can bring about anxiety, depression, grief, dissociation, displaced anger, and hopelessness. 

    I offer emotional, spiritual and magical support to the extent that you would want this to be part of the service. Coaching and counseling are a part of this consultation brand.

    Many people feel overwhelmed with how to begin or continue preparations for relative safety, crisis response, and protecting what is precious to them. 

    We will use a map to assess where you are at in relation to where you want to be, and then I’ll present a strategy for a reasonable timeline, with digestible, doable steps that fit within your budget and align with your values.

    I encourage you to invest in a version of your inner resilience as well as the outer version. Resilience can be a buzzword or a cliche, the etymology though reveals an action of “bouncing back”. 

    Visioning and practicing the agility to adapt helps create the sense of being able to handle each moment as it comes. 

    No plan will be perfect or all-encompassing because we work with probability, not predictability.

    I help people anticipate and plan for social, spiritual, physical changes in the conditions of our lives, network in relationships, touch and be steady with big feelings, and contextualize the preparations in an intergenerational framework.

Personal Sessions

Spiritual Counseling/Advisement:

You seek support with general/specific struggles, daily practice development, personal trance design, divination, questions about purpose/ livelihood and/or something uniquely different.

Personal sessions are 75 minutes to allow for the ease of enough time, leave room for a gentle grounding and getting present, and a gentle outflow from the time together.

These sessions are scheduled as you desire, twice a month, every other month, some other rhythm and with no obligation ever for any follow up sessions. 

Ancestral Recovery and Connection

You seek development of intuition and psychic skills, heritage recovery, relationship tending, lineage healing, and/or some other intention for creating or growing ancestral connection.  

Personal sessions are 75 minutes to allow for the ease of enough time, leave room for a gentle grounding and getting present, and a gentle outflow from the time together.

These sessions are scheduled as you desire, twice a month, every other month, some other rhythm and with no obligation ever for any follow up sessions. 

Officiation, Ritual/Ceremony Design

You are seeking some way to commemorate a time of importance. You want a rite, ritual or ceremony to meet the moment.

I help to design and officiate for all occasions with a caring, curious, and creative approach. 

I will guide you through a session or sessions to illuminate and draw out your truest intentions, your most desired design elements, and the best possible version of what you are hoping for with your ritual/ceremony and/or my officiating.

I will lay out some templates which we will customize. These include for the creation of the event, the itinerary of events leading up to the event, the final planning with achievable deadlines, counseling and support to and through the event, and the officiation.

My officiating includes attention to the big picture and the details, the physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual ambience, and the agility to adapt quickly with grounded, calm presence.
